    This role will leverage the candidate's experience in both direct & indirect taxes in Brazil and will require strong tax technical skills in order to work seamlessly together with colleagues in cross-functions (. legal, finance, etc) to support our business teams to develop comprehensive and practical tax solutions.

    As the business continues to expand in capabilities, the Country Tax Lead will be the person responsible for leading the execution of Tax initiatives while being proactive to anticipate potential hurdles and plan effectively to minimize business disruption.

    ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for leading tax planning and tax compliance in Brazil.1.

    Lead the tax team to ensure all tax returns are accurately and timely filed in compliance with the applicable tax laws and regulations in Brazil2.

    Consistently monitor tax legislation changes and proposed changes to develop best in class strategies to adapt to and mitigate potential business risk3.

    Collaborate process improvements and tax optimization initiatives with a focus on tax technology4. Develop tax strategies and ensure that the company is operating in a tax-efficient manner in the region5. Research, manage and maintain tax incentives when applicable6. Provide tax advice across various product lines and jurisdictions in developing and implementing comprehensive and practical tax solutions7. Manage and respond in a timely manner to all tax inquiries and tax audits raised by the tax authorities8. Respond to internal and external tax inquiries and assist business partners with tax advice9. Monitor the change and update of tax legislation and assess the impact on business10. Develop a strong partnership with cross functional departments such as Legal, Accounting and Finance to streamline business objectives11. Be a mentor and guide to the tax team in an effort to drive a collaborative business practice

    Minimum Qualifications1. Previous experience managing and leading a tax team2. Demonstrated capability to clearly communicate tax technical issues to non-tax professionals3. Ability to lead complex projects while working effectively across cross-functional teams4. Self-motivated and with a strong sense of ownership of projects with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.5. Effective interpersonal skills, including persuasive written and oral communication skills6. Strong command of the English language (both written and verbal)7. Bachelor's degree or above Preferred Qualifications1. Qualified accountant or tax lawyer with proven Brazilian and/or broader LATAM tax experience2. Relevant tax experience in tax in a public accounting firm or reputable law firm and TMT industries
