    About the role:

    Collaborating with team members to develop and maintain backend services and solutions supporting user-facing products, downstream services, and infrastructure tools and platforms used throughout Uber.

    Uber is reshaping the landscape of grocery & retail. Originally known for transporting people, Uber now delivers almost any product a customer desires promptly. The Grocery Engineering Team ensures that as our services expand beyond transporting individuals and restaurant orders, our platform advances to offer a top-tier experience for customers, providers, and brands. While currently focusing on grocery services, the team will venture into additional categories in the future.

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field OR 2 years of full-time Software Engineering work experience, INCLUDING 2 years of technical software engineering experience in one or more of the following domains:

    • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Java, Python, or Go)

    Technical skills:

    Preferably experienced in:

    • Scalability engineering
    • Distributed systems
