    Job Description

    Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Computational, Automotive or Controls Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical, electronic or mechatronic product in automotive engineering:
  • Knowledge of various vehicular switches and their sub-components (e.g. terminals, connectors, functionality, materials, etc...).
  • Understanding of an electrical architecture diagram as well as a wiring harness schematic.
  • Knowledge of the marketing available related simulation tools.
  • Including significant physical integration (packaging) and functional integration work, as well as performance assessments.
  • Deep knowledge of the different types of materials required in the switches, internal switch design best practices, etc.
  • Perform detailed investigation of the Health of the similar (previous program) to make sure all past issues are addressed in new design.
  • Evaluate competition and execute a benchmarking including supplier information.
  • Basic understanding of validation processes.
  • Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of electrical and electronic circuits.
  • Analytical ability to solve problems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills that focus and influence others in any different organization level.
  • This position requires you to be able to legally operate & drive a motor vehicle.
  • What Can Give You A Competitive Edge (Preference Qualifications)

  • Master's degree in engineering field (CREA required).
  • Experience in the GM component specification and release process.
  • Knowledge of software and CAN communication.
  • Knowledge of Electromagnetic Interference and respective issues resolutions.
  • DFSS Black Belt certification.
