DAÍSY CAMARGO FERREIRA

As a medical physicist, I always believed that science and technology could lead to improvement in other people lives. During my undergraduate studies I was driven by this thought, always close to research and innovation into the development of new ways of diagnosis of breast cancer, which I continued to pursue in my Master's and Ph.D. abroad. These experiences led to the realization that it was time to go beyond and put into practice all my learnings so far. I cannot think into a better way to accomplish this that is not started applying my knowledge inside hospitals, where I can directly make the difference.  It would be a great pleasure to be part of this team, and I am sure my skills can make contribute positively!

In 2020, I got my Bachelor's degree in Medical Physics from the University of Sao Paulo, Masters degree in bioengineering from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. 

During my undergrad, I acquired extensive training in physics, medical imaging (ultrasound, computed tomography, X-ray, MRI), radiation therapy, and radiation safety. My experience and theoretical background in the field of Medical Physics provide me with the necessary tools to deliver high-quality training and support to healthcare teams, as well as make sure radiation equipment are functioning well.
