Med Brazão

Med Brazão is an attorney based in Brazil. He is a founder and the managing partner of Med Brazão Advocacia e Consultoria, a firm specialized in civil litigation and labor law as well as on regulatory matters in the cannabis industry. Prior to that, Med worked as International Of Counsel to Hoban Law Group, rendereding legal advice to international clients on the Brazilian legislation, helping them to navigate the Brazilian cannabis market, as well as finding investment opportunities and potential partners.

His practice covers a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters, including regulatory issues in the marijuana industry, data privacy policies and compliance, employment and other general corporate issues.

Med was a member of the Human Rights Commission of the OAB/RN (Rio Grande do Norte section of Brazilian Bar Association) and ANATRA (Employment Lawyers Association). He is also a human rights activist, dedicated to cannabis legal reform, having worked with a number of organizations throughout the world.

With extensive experience in the legal field, I have served in various capacities, contributing significantly to the success of the organizations I've been a part of. Currently, as an Attorney at Cássio Leandro Advocacia Trabalhista e Empresarial, I navigate the complexities of labor and business law in a hybrid work environment. Prior to this, at Nelber Chaves Advocacia, I honed my skills in administrative and employment law. My tenure at MDR Advocacia saw me as a Partner, where I played a pivotal role in formulating operational strategies, implementing policies, and overseeing day-to-day operations. Additionally, my role as Associate Attorney involved representing clients in court, providing legal counsel, and formulating effective strategies. With a strong legal background, I have also served as a Legal Intern at Tribunal de Justiça do Rio Grande do Norte and as International of Counsel at Hoban Law Group, rendering legal advice on Brazilian legislation to international clients. My involvement with OAB/RN's Human Rights Committee further reflects my commitment to the legal community.

I hold a Postgraduate Degree in Constitutional Law from UNI-RN, where I deepened my understanding of legal principles and their applications. Prior to that, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Law from UNINASSAU, graduating in 2018. During my academic journey, I actively engaged in the Forensic Science Research society, furthering my practical insights into legal practices. In addition, I participated in a Rotary Youth Exchange Program during my time at Littleton High School, broadening my cultural horizons. As a high school student, I was a member of the swimming team and Philosophy Club, showcasing my diverse interests and commitment to both physical and intellectual pursuits. My educational background has equipped me with a comprehensive foundation in law and a well-rounded perspective on various disciplines.
