    Network Engineering Specialist (Hybrid)

    Job Summary

    Embark on a transformative journey with our Engineering Tool Brazil team at Equinix, a place where your contributions will significantly shape our Managed Service tools' trajectory. Your role will be crucial in orchestrating international dialogues aimed at the standardization of network architecture, alongside providing steadfast support for our extensive network infrastructure. We are in search of an individual who not only possesses a keen analytical intellect and a proactive approach but also harbors a deep passion for pioneering innovations and surmounting the myriad challenges that come their way.

    What You Will Be Doing

    • Network Design and Implementation: Your core responsibility will be to architect and deploy sophisticated network systems, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. This includes the adept implementation of switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
    • Network Troubleshooting: You'll bring your expertise to the forefront in diagnosing and resolving network issues, leveraging diagnostic tools and protocols to ensure swift resolutions.
    • Network Security: A critical aspect of your role will be to fortify our networks. You'll implement cutting-edge security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, to protect against unauthorized access and threats.
    • Network Optimization: You'll proactively analyze network performance, identify enhancement opportunities, and apply optimization techniques for traffic management and load balancing.
    • Technical Support: Your exceptional problem-solving and communication skills will be key in providing top-notch technical support, ensuring minimal downtime and a smooth operational flow.
    • Project Management: You'll oversee network project implementations, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet our high standards.
    • Documentation and Reporting: Keeping detailed records of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps, as well as generating comprehensive reports on network performance and security audits.

    What We'll Expect From You

    • A deep understanding of network services and structures, including TCP/IP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
    • Proficiency in the administration and design of network security solutions, including Firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Iptables) and network monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix).
    • Experience with Hypervisor VMware vSwitch and VLANs.
    • Exceptional analytical skills to evaluate networks, pinpoint issues, and devise efficient solutions.
    • Solid project management capabilities, able to juggle multiple projects from conception to implementation.
    • Effective communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to both technical and non-technical team members.
    • Advanced proficiency in English (conversation level) is mandatory.
    • A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
    • Knowledge of ITIL v4 processes and compliance.
