    Role: Regulatory Reporting Analyst.
    Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
    Contract Duration: 6-12 months (with the ability to extend and a potential to convert to Full Time)
    Work Time zone: US PST
    Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
    Location: 100% remote (resource can work from anywhere in Brazil or Mexico)

    Responsibilities:
  • Manage client's regulatory reporting program in LATAM, with a focus on Mexico and Brazil, ensuring accurate and timely submission of reports to regional regulators.
  • Be the point of contact for regulatory reporting matters with regulatory bodies
  • Collaborate with regulatory, legal and compliance teams to understand and outline regulatory reporting requirements and ensure they are actionable for data and engineering teams, including updates to reporting requirements due to internal and external factors.
  • Ensure accuracy of data inputs and effectiveness of underlying logic for reports by coordinating with data science, engineering, technology, and business teams.
  • Develop scalable mechanisms and controls to track compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with regulatory legal, compliance, accounting, data science and engineering teams to continuously improve the reporting process.
  • Work with the Global Regulatory Reporting team to establish quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and auditability of reports customized for Mexico and Brazil.
  • Formulate responses to regulatory inquiries related to reporting and manage ad hoc requests from regulators that are specific to regulatory reporting.
  • Contribute to develop and maintain an efficient global regulatory reporting program, with particular emphasis on facilitating operations in Mexico and Brazil.
    • Required Skills:
  • Must be fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
  • Experience in Compliance, Regulatory, Accounting or Business Analytics roles within financial services companies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the LATAM regulatory compliance environment for financial services (either in Mexico or Brazil).
  • Expertise in data analytics with the ability to navigate multiple data sources.
  • Experience in compiling and analyzing financial and/or regulatory reports.
  • Previous involvement in project or program management concerning regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to quickly decipher complex problems and manage large volumes of data.
  • Self-starter capable of working efficiently and independently.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with various internal stakeholders.
    • Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with SQL; capability to understand and create queries will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with licensed payment institutions such as acquirers, e-money, or other similar business activities.
  • Proficiency with MacOS and Google products.
  • Degree in Accounting, Business, or Law.
