MISSION: Ensure maximum safe vessel utilization, schedule adherence, and cost-efficient maritime operations.
SCOPE OF RESPONSABILITIES:
Marine Operations and Execution: Manage daily ETA communication to vessels and other stakeholders through the established SLA; Follow-up with Terminals to grant the optimal berthing line up and efficient operation for Mercosul vessels; Ensure terminal resources are allocated in compliance with the running SLA; Proactively propose scheduling alternatives to any issues that may affect vessel's turnaround time caused by contingencies, extra calls, port omissions or any scenarios that are not suitable for the healthiest operations and navigation;
Ship Planning: In charge of the creation and quality of loading / discharge plans, assuring the best condition of vessels’ seaworthiness throughout the voyage; Ensure maximum Cargo Intake, in order to meet and support the line’s business objective, working closely with capacity management to guarantee best cargo is prioritized; Optimize trim and draft through optimal stowage with minimum ballast, focusing on efficient and reduced fuel consumption for the voyage ahead; Minimize re-stowage when achieving full capacity, as well as creating balanced crane splits, to conduct the operations smoothly;
Bunker: Manage Bunker Operations, Quantity and Claims of the fuels purchased for the Mercosul fleet. Monitor Bunker daily consumption from vessels, and coordinate bunkering operations (purchase and scheduling) in advance, in compliance with the company's policy; Validate that the fuels purchased correspond to the specification ordered, as well as the quantity delivered match the quantity sounded on board by the vessel crew;
DG Cargo / OOG / BBK : Monitor the conformity of all dangerous goods, Out of Gauge (OOG) and Break Bulk (BBK) and follow Safety Security, Environment processes, the conformity of all cargoes to get on board, following the Safety standards of the company. Advise and Assist the Commercial / Trade / Legal areas on technical issues related to dangerous goods; Evaluate and approve in advance if all OOG and BBK cargoes are compliance with company's policy;
Network and Proforma Design: In charge of the Proforma Creation in order to provide a stable schedule, seeking the implementation of a realistic cargo and operations flow; Discuss and secure Terminal Berthing Windows for all ports within scope of proforma, before and during the network change process; Propose the deployment for best vessel type based on vessel characteristics and trade requirements;
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Degree : Required in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, and related areas; Language: Portuguese (Fluent) andEnglish (advanced / fluent); Experience: Experience on vessel operations;
