A Day in the Life

WatchGuard’s global HR team supports employees and managers in 30 countries and our business is growing rapidly! You’ll have the opportunity to work with an extraordinary group of friendly, people-focused teammates and develop your global HR career path along the way. The HR Business Partner supervises a Junior HR Analyst and 3 student interns in Santa Rita Do Sapucai (SRS), Brazil. Due to COVID-19, most employees continue to work from home, with the production team and select others working in the office.

You will have a team of friendly and dedicated HR professionals to help you! We’ll help you navigate process, people, procedures, product line, and the driven industry landscape. Among those first steps will be learning the HR information system (BambooHR) with emphasis on the employee onboarding and offboarding process. By 60 days, we’ll have shifted focus to assessing current processes and evaluate potential changes. By 90 days, we’ll have optimized your ability to influence the business by initiating action plans, implement new strategies and procedures with special emphasis on growth and development projects for yourself and the organization.

About the Position

The main focus of the HR Business Partner is supporting 90 people in Brazil. The HR Business Partner will play a meaningful role in implementing people related programs, processes, and strategies designed to maintain and enhance BR Token’s outstanding values and support the company’s continued growth. The HR Business Partner enables managers and employees in the organization by helping them to tackle organizational challenges through coordinated people-focused solutions!

Our ideal candidate is proficient in English, is friendly and people-focused with experience in the following core areas: talent management including employee / manager coaching, learning and development; people operations including HR program and process implementation, employee engagement, employee relations; and total rewards including compensation and recognition.

This position is based in Santa Rita Do Sapucai (SRS), Brazil and report to the HR Manager, Global based at our corporate office in Seattle, Washington.

Position Responsibilities

  • Partner with the WatchGuard recruiting team to ensure we are hiring the unique and brightest employees possible
  • Learn and own the onboarding and offboarding functions within our HR information system (HRIS).
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and senior managers in product delivery on people-related and organizational issues.
  • Analyze trends and metrics, anticipate people-related needs and deliver improved service to managers and employees.
  • Work on critical projects that impact employee experience, growth and retention.
  • Wear many hats and be able to pitch-in wherever vital, learning quickly as you go.
  • Play an active role in shaping and evolving our values by organizing and leading morale events. This involves mind-mapping fun, creative ideas and executing them by ordering decorations, catering food, beverages, and helping to clean it all up.
  • Not everything you do will be glamorous. Be willing to dive in, roll up your sleeves and do the hard work to achieve success.
  • There will, of course, be other duties assigned from time-to-time being mindful we’re a small team.

  • Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships with senior leaders and a sophisticated set of partners to drive organizational change.
  • Verbal and written English language proficiency required.
  • Smart, with the understanding that “with great power comes great responsibility,” especially when handling confidential information.
  • A great sense of humor with the attitude to achieve the impossible every day.
  • Strong computer and typing skills and competence using Microsoft Office 365 including MS Excel.
  • A solid understanding of employment-related laws/regulations.

  • A collaborative self-starter with good problem-solving skills and ability to interact positively and successfully with all levels of the company.
  • Ability to work within constraints as well as to challenge the status quo.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action.
  • Time management skills such as prioritizing, organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
  • Outstanding problem solving, judgment, and critical thinking skills with solid attention to detail.
  • Goal-oriented with ability to work independently and approach challenges with agility.
  • Ability to work from 8AM to 5PM on weekdays with occasional overtime in evenings or weekends in both an office environment and from a home or remote office location.

  • Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with HR coursework preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of HR experience including at least 2 years performing HR processes, programs and supporting people.
