About the role

The Project & Innovation Engineer will have a dedicated support to the Sourcing and Sustainability area in the growing demands of bulk handling projects, construction of nurseries and renovations. The role has 2 direct reports, reports functionally into the Director of Sourcing and Sustainability and is based in Ilhéus, Brazil.

Key responsibilities include:

• Elaboration of projects and preliminary projects;

• Elaboration of descriptive memorials and contracting norm;

• Technical equalization of proposals and suppliers in the contracting phase;

• Planning, management and monitoring of equipment and infrastructure maintenance;

• Development of technological and automation improvements in the operation chain;

• Physical and financial management of projects in terms of costs, quality in the mechanical, civil and electrical fields;

• Support in the management of CAPEX and OPEX in the engineering segment;

• Critical analysis of engineering documents;

• Advising and guiding heads of areas on the economic viability of a project.

About you:

Bachelor in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering or Administration with a specialization in Finance;

Experience in agricultural commodity businesses is a must;

English business proficiency (written and spoken),

Proficient user of finance Microsoft Office and ERP Systems (eg SAP);
