The primary focus of this position is leading a team of manufacturing engineers with regards to the continuous improvement of tooling, machines, and equipment.

In addition, the incumbent is expected to lead and delegate tasks related to new product development and capex.


What You Need to Know:
Manage manufacturing operations cross functionalities with quality, logistics operations, engineering and sourcing;
Lead kaizen projects and 5S management and other lean manufacturing model initiatives;
Lead productivity improvement program, OEE improvement initiatives and suggestion program;
With HR support, do the new assembly operators hiring and training and promote actions to increase the retention rates and engagement;
Participate in annual ISO audits;
Engage their team to work with safety;
Use ERP for scheduling, forecasting and scrap control (when ERP is implemented);
Plan and control indirect material acquisition for production area;
Use ERP system to drive production scheduling though the assembly lines (when it's implemented).


What We Are Looking For:

Required:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from a four-year college or university; plus three or more years of relevant experience in a high volume manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required;

Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from a four-year college or university; plus eight or more years of relevant experience in a high volume manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required;
Knowledge of tool design, equipment implementation, and new product development is desired;
Ability to read and interpret drawing requirements and specifications is required;
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills are required;
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required;
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet critical deadlines;
Demonstrated leadership abilities;

Required personal computer skills include, but are not limited to: MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project); and AutoCAD.
