Senior Golang Data Engineer

Our partner is a quantitative trading organization where live market data, low-latency systems, and proprietary models directly drive capital allocation decisions. As the platform continues to scale, we are adding a senior engineer to own the real-time streaming ingestion systems that power live trading.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Rebuild and own the production-grade, real-time market data ingestion system end-to-end.
2. Develop high-performance Go services that consume live market data over WebSockets.
3. Process and manage high-throughput streaming data across approximately 1,500 equities.
4. Aggregate and time-slice streaming data for accurate downstream model consumption.

The focus is demanding but meaningful: affecting reliable inputs to C-based trading engine running on AWS EC2,
streaming reliability automated failover observability production debugging in latency-sensitive environment performance correctness impact outcomes This position requires ownership of reliable delivery as well using containerized service within cloud-native environments while collaborating with technical leadership on architectural design optimisation responsibilities include instrument monitoring leveraging Prometheus error detection root-cause analysis deploying deploying successful microservices architecture deployment further ensuring resilient infrastructure.
