- Serve as a point of contact within the HR organization for staff members, Records Retention Leads, and key Information Security leadership on issues related to data protection
- Ensure that the Human Resources function of the company is inline with policies, that ensure compliance with codes of practice such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
- Evaluate and support the implementations of strategic initiatives to ensure HR Data Protection, access and risk management and manage remediation projects as required
- Provide expert advice and educate employees on important data compliance requirements
- Draft new and amend existing internal HR data protection procedures and guidelines, in consultation with key stakeholders
- Design and conduct audits to ensure compliance and to address potential issues
- Support the maintenance of records of all data processing activities of the HR Business Function
- Well versed in data protection laws and practices, including deep understanding of GDPR, and other Global Data Privacy Principles
- You have set and implemented strategic initiatives to ensure HR Data Protection, access and risk management.
- Experience in a legal, audit, or risk management role, experience in a Human Resources function.
- Strong project management skills with a variety of participants and stakeholders
- Manage the work of others directly in your team and external
- Proficiency with software for preparing reports and presentations
- Many successful years of experience in data protection compliance or related field, managing and growing a team
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent work experience in computer science or related field
- Privacy Certifications including CIPP/E, CIPM, or FIP preferred
- Security Certifications like CISSP or CISM preferred

This role is responsible for the success of large transformations and key projects which ensure the success of Human Resources and Avanade.
