- Oversee all Communications products and lead strategy and planning.
- Implement country-specific communication plans to enhance visibility, reputation, and fundraising activities.
- Support the design of communication strategies for greater awareness of hunger solutions.
- Advise staff on potential impact of press activities.
- Contribute to communications through research, analysis, and timely information distribution.
- Maintain contact list of journalists and support media communication.
- Support social media strategy and content development.
- Generate donor-specific visibility content.
- Monitor and analyze media for communication strategy improvement.
- Guide and supervise junior staff.
- Prepare accurate reports for decision-making.
- Support capacity building of WFP staff on communication.
- Liaise with WFP staff and external counterparts.
- Follow emergency preparedness practices to respond to crises effectively.

- More than 2 years of professional experience in journalism, public information, or related fields.
- International professional experience.
- Project management and team leadership experience.
- Experience in policy environments related to South-South cooperation.

To implement the communications plan effectively by supporting various activities, research, and analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities
Qualifications and experience
Education: Master's University degree in Journalism, International Relations, Public Relations, Communications, or related field; or a First University degree with 2 years of related work experience.

Language: Fluency in Portuguese and English, with fluency in French and/or Spanish as an advantage.

Demonstrates ability to build effective relationships with key media contacts and influencers.
Media and Communication Expertise
Facilitates communication with media and influencers through tailored messages and discussions.
Specialised Knowledge in Communications
Applies theoretical knowledge to generate effective communication materials.

Demonstrates deep understanding of the multilateral environment in which WFP operates.
Communication Strategy and Planning
Applies understanding of WFP communications strategy to develop effective strategies.
The candidate must have Brazilian Nationality or be legally authorized to work in the country.
Remuneration package
Monthly salary of BRL 14,629.67, including social security and health insurance.
