    About the job

    The Red Hat Global Procurement team has an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to apply their High level Procurement skills and experience, and to apply their strategic sourcing and category management skills within a rapidly growing region in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The candidate will manage the Marketing, Corporate Services and IT categories and be responsible for driving effective stakeholder partnership, develop, influence and execute regional strategies against global priorities, leading strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiating contracts, managing preferred and strategic supplier relationships related to those categories for LATAM. Your success will be measured against business metrics including savings, stakeholder satisfaction, contract management, and supplier management. You'll report directly to the Manager, LATAM Procurement.

    What you will do

  • Utilize category management & strategic sourcing expertise to identify opportunities, successfully negotiates pricing and terms to achieve best value to the company;
  • Drives complex strategic sourcing initiatives and contributes to developing global category strategies in partnership with Global Category Managers;
  • Implement regional procurement strategies for the multiple categories that are innovative, cost effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges across Red Hat's operating expenses for LATAM;
  • Influence and develop highly strategic partnership with budget owners, the Senior Regional and Global stakeholders for designated categories;
  • Select supplier sources by driving competitive sourcing activities (RFXs);
  • Implement robust contracts with selected suppliers and negotiate optimal terms and conditions;
  • Build strategic relationships and manage supplier performance for key suppliers via stakeholder feedback and performance-based metrics;
  • Support broader LATAM spend categories operationally, review and approve Purchase Requisitions and become the face of LATAM Procurement
  • What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineer, supply chain, finance or related technical or quantitative field
  • Fluent English and Spanish
  • 7+ years of Procurement experience, preferably within Marketing, Corporate Services, IT and Facilities;
  • Experience in strategic category management, procurement analyticals, strategic sourcing/procurement and contract management
  • Strong communication, time management, interpersonal skills, solving problems ;
  • Must have a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • Experience in building relationships and gaining agreements with a diverse set of stakeholders and suppliers;
  • Deep understanding of Latin America tax, labour, importation legislation and other specific regional requirements from a contractual and policy perspective
