    Who will you be working with?

    Wabtec is seeking a Technical Project Owner to support the strategy and development of our localization applications in Brazil and Mexico, reporting to the IT Applications Business Units Solutions for Latin America. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating on the vision, roadmap, and execution of these critical business applications, while also contributing hands-on technical work.

    The Technical Product Owner is the person that will be focus on the technical side of local applications products and keep those apps in a good condition aligned to the tax compliance country regulations, assuring the development and clear roadmaps for all critical applications that represent an investment from the business of +500K USD, additionally in charge to assure the taxes compliance for all applications that need to be aligned with local laws and be prepared to interact with global initiatives like COA, Finance TAX Regulations and others coming during the next years.

  • Work and create product roadmaps for critical local applications for Brazil Sites.
  • Design and oversee product roadmaps, working with various teams to craft the design aspects of a product that meets the needs of users and business.
  • Establish standards for each product success.
  • Develop and maintain local applications pillar apps strategy.

    • What do we want to know about you?

    Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related STEM field
  • 3+ years of experience in full-stack web application development
  • Proficient in Node.JS, Angular, and cloud-based application hosting (AWS preferred)
  • Proven track record of leading technical projects and delivering business-critical applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Databases Management and Transactions with SQL – Intermediate
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed environment is highly desirable.
  • Advanced English required.

    • Desire Characteristics

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in ETL management
  • Talend and Jenkins working experience.
  • Power BI & DAX Intermediate
  • Proven work experience as ETL developer
  • SCRUM Master Certification
  • Ability to analyze a company's big-picture data needs.
  • Technical depth with Proficy Suite
  • Cloud Server Support (AWS) knowledge – Intermediate
  • Maintaining and updating technical documents and procedures
  • Knowledge of ERP / MRP systems
  • Effective team player and facilitator
  • Strategic and Clear Thinking to translate discrete and complex ideas to business-driven results.
  • Detail orientation with a strong drive to enforce common standards.
  • Proven ability to work in a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated acceptance and adherence to high ethical, moral, and personal values.

    • What will your typical day look like?

  • Strategic support:
  • Collaborate on the the long-term strategy and roadmap for regional differentiating apps in Brazil and Mexico
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities.
  • Contribute to building the implementation plan and oversee the execution of the regional app strategy.
  • Design and oversee product roadmaps, working with various teams to craft the design aspects of a product that meets the needs of users and business.
  • Establish standards for each product success.
  • Develop and maintain local applications pillar apps strategy.
  • Administrative and documentation activities
  • Able to work in Process Improvement to support business operations.
  • Able to Map and understand users process and requirements needed to create user stories.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain key metrics to support business operations.
  • Analyze data from market research for any new application requirement or implementation.
  • Assure business continuity based on good product and applications management and DRS plans.
  • Coordinate with third party vendors efforts for maintenance plans on local critical applications.
  • Design and keep the DRS plan for local applications.
  • Meet with product owners or product leaders to discuss development progress or initiatives.
  • Meet with developers to assure the quality of products.
  • Meet with software development teams to share product insights.
  • Communicate product roadmap to the business and functional owners
  • Technical Delivery
  • Hands-on development of new features and functionality using Node.JS, Angular, and other modern web technologies
  • Ensure applications are hosted on AWS with robust CI/CD release capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and maintain application health.
  • Mentor and guide the technical team to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • ETL to design and use data warehousing data to create reports and analyses for decision makers.
  • Support the Deployment of Global Pillar Apps
  • Tools and Reports are generated based on SQL Datawarehouse brought into the Tools as well as user input entry level.
  • Power Automate (creation of WF) for diverse projects entry level.
  • Create adhoc reports from Data warehouses to support Mexico and Brazil sites.
  • Deploy interface connections between applications/products and global tools as required.
