Intercompany Finance - Sr Analyst

This position reports into EBS – A2R Finance and is based at São José dos Campos Site (Brazil – Latam)

What will you do

This role is part of the A2R Americas Finance team responsible for Intercompany Accounting for Brazil:

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for Intercompany process flows for stock and non-stock transactions and standardization of the process to follow global taxonomy
• Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit & SOX requirements
• Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope
• Deep expertise, fully knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas
• Generate ideas, foster, and implement continuous improvement mindset, identifying and pursuing process efficiency opportunities
• Execute global Strategy & Solutions in line with taxonomy
• If assigned the role of Subject Matter Expert (SME) then candidates will be responsible to ensure cross sector, cross region, and cross process alignment, ensuring good documentation is maintained and consistency of a global approach
• Regular focus on Balance Sheet reconciliations to minimize open items
• Influence and Execute process improvements, generating ideas and implementing them in line with global standards

Compliance

• Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities
• Understand, adhere to, and execute worldwide policies and procedures. Identify compliance risks and recommend solutions to remediate / prevent breach
• Ensure strong internal controls are in place, to achieve "adequate" internal and external audit ratings

Leadership and People Management

• Recruiting, onboarding, and training of new joiners
• On the job training for new team members / BPO partners
• Lead/Participate in other Regional/Global/Cross functional duties as assigned

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or similar is required. MBA or postgraduate is Preferred
• Fluent/Advanced English
• At least 4 years of experience in Finance and related
• Lead/Participate in other Regional/Global/Cross functional duties as assigned
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Experience in a Shared Service Centre of a multinational corporation or BPO
• Experience in a Global Account to Report function of a large multi-state company
• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP) and MS Office in particular Excel
• Proven experience in accounting / financial is required;
• Required an excellent analytical, conceptual, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Enjoy working well in a dynamic, environment and have the ability and energy to recommend and implement operational improvements
• Project Leadership experience is required
• Team work, resilience, pro-active / positive behavior and hands-on are relevant for the position

Desired Qualifications

• CPA, CMA, MBA and/or other financial certifications are preferred
• Spanish is desirable
• Be open to new ideas, rapid change and embracing new technologies
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels
• Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach
• Successfully manage multiple priorities, be very organized and work efficiently to tight deadlines
• Solid US GAAP / BR GAAP accounting knowledge
