    Open up first contact with new suppliers and introduce CHEP.Own primary supplier relationship with all sawmills in Brazil.
    Negotiate price and payment terms.

    Provide pricing updates to Carmen for each supplier if applicable (Don't send the updated price directly to the team).Call supplier within 48 hours and offer support for onboarding paperwork, questionnaires, dd support, ESG support, etc.

    (non-quality related onboarding).Translation assistance between regions and suppliers when needed.


    Key responsibilities:
    Procurement Manager Oversight over the sourcing and procurement process of goods and services for the organization.
    Develop sourcing strategies in partnership with and provide inputs to the functional owners.
    Execute on a timely and efficient manner the approved sourcing strategy.
    Manage the lifecycle of supplier relationships.
    Plan and deliver annual savings targets in collaboration with key stakeholders.

    Lead strategic sourcing activities such as:
    spend analysis, benchmarking, supply market analysis, supplier analysis (RFP/RFI), contracting/negotiations, business case development.
    Evaluate and facilitate reviews for strategic suppliers.
    Liaises with Legal to align corporate contract standards.
    Manage preferred supplier list and supplier risks.
    Ensure adherence to Global Procurement and functional department standards.
    Performs contract negotiations, and protect the company's best interests by selecting best value.
    Notify the region of any new or modified supplier contracts.

    Supplier Relationship Management Manage on going strategic relationships with select suppliers Build strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers based on trust, mutual benefit, and shared goalsIdentify and categorize suppliers based on their importance to the organization's strategic objectives, and allocate resources accordinglyProactively identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, such as geopolitical instability, supplier financial health, or supply disruptionsSeek opportunities to leverage supplier expertise and capabilities to drive innovation, enhance product quality, and create value for the organizationIdentify new suppliers candidates and manage their vettingResponsible for assisting suppliers with onboarding documentsLead the initial TIMO discussions with select suppliers Translation assistance between regions and suppliers when neededEfficiency and Cost Negotiate price & payment terms and drive costs down monthly with each supplier not on a flex agreementNegotiate Flex AgreementsGet white wood quotesSupplier Guidance Direct suppliers to the right teams as needed (example:
    PO and Invoice Issue to Regional Teams, Forecast questions to Planning Team, Ocean Freight to International Transportation, etc.
    Supplier Performance Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and SPRM metrics to assess supplier performance and alignment with strategic objectives.
    Facilitate SPRM reviews for strategic suppliers.
    Reporting Create a comprehensive sawmill database -Notify the region of any new or modified supplier contracts.
    Get white wood inventory monthly from onboarded suppliers (See Supplier Management List)
