    Job Title: Intern - Vendor Management

    Location: TransPerfect Offices (Remote work options available)

    About the Role

    The intern will form part of our Interpretation Vendor Management department and support our Production teams with vendor capacity needs. This team manages our freelance community, comprised of thousands of specialists providing services to assist project delivery.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Search for new vendors (interpreters, translators, proofreaders, medical writers, regulatory consultants, etc.) by running searches in specific platforms, posting jobs, contacting candidates, and analyzing CVs.
    • Negotiate rates with vendors based on services provided.
    • Set up new vendors in our Vendor Management systems by screening applications, organizing paperwork, adding vendors to our systems, updating records, storing documentation, and testing files.
    • Assist with certification processes, including offering tests, scheduling test reviews, creating certification tests, and maintaining training records.
    • E nsure vendor information is up-to-date on our Vendor platform.

    Requirements

    • Be able to sign an internship agreement (initially 6 months, potentially extendable).
    • Enrolled in an educational institution that can collaborate on the internship agreement.
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; other languages are an asset.
    • Studies in translation, linguistics, or a related field are highly desirable.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn various platforms.
    • Show strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills with a proactive attitude.
