    Role: Sr. DevOps Engineer
    Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
    Contract Duration: Long Term
    Work Time zone: US time zone (PST)
    Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
    Location: 100% remote (candidate can work from anywhere in LATAM countries)

    Project Description:
  • Team is focused on developing big data projects
  • They don't use cloud services such as Google or AWS due to client's sensitivity in Data - so currently operating off an on-premise cloud - utilizing all big data frameworks and dealing with Terabytes of data
    • Duties/Day to Day Overview:
  • A Developer who has expertise in Python coding with Experience in Jenkins pipeline + Unix shell scripting and is willing to work a DevOps roles
  • Must be a self-starter and motivated
  • Bash scripting - Dockerized Artifactory to get it deployed in a single run. Heavy Scripting
  • Implied understating that they are working on Unix environment.
  • Experience working in OnPrem environment and offline scripting.
  • No direct access in production.
  • More concentration on offline deployment scripts.
    • Team uses:
  • Backend - Java based, Python heavy, Java, APIs, database
  • Familiar with Frontend - Angular
  • Hadoop cluster Environment
    • Top Requirements (Must haves)
  • Advanced Level experience (8+ years) with Python programming language
  • Experience in Jenkins pipeline and Unix shell scripting.
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Experience with implementing Data Science algorithms
  • Experience using third-party Python libraries including Pandas, Pyarrow, Numpy, etc.
  • Experience working in OnPrem environment and offline scripting.
