    Job Summary

    The Manager Product Sales will work on supporting Motorcycle, Parts & Accessories (P&A) and Apparel & Licensing (A&L) product needs and sales for the Latin America Region. This position serves as a primary product and program liaison in assessing and communicating the implication of various market trends on sales forecasts for product demand between leadership, staff, and many other internal & external stakeholders. This position manages a departmental team that will be responsible for generating, interpreting, and communicating monthly and long-term sales and operational planning (S&OP) functions, Order Management, and Logistics for the region. The Manager, Product Sales will collaborate with regional sales leadership team members in the development of long-range volume plans and the wholesale order planning process/function.

    Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of the vehicle allocation process. This includes developing and updating the Harley-Davidson dealer allocation policy in collaboration with the Sales team, phase rollouts of production to the network, and monthly supplement allocation targeting dealers most in need of additional units.
  • Responsible for all aspects of Parts & Accessories (P&A) and Apparel & Licensing (A&L) network ordering fulfillment, inventory/warehouse management, shipment/logistics management and pricing/margin setting in collaboration with Finance team.
  • Lead role in forecasting retail of motorcycles, P&A and A&L sales for the corporate budgets/ forecasts/ and strategic plans. Also responsible for developing the wholesale plan and forecasts to support the retail sales budget and forecasts. Work with all internal stakeholders to continually improve the W/W process.
  • Ensure continued people development and all staff is well-trained in the Harley-Davidson business process.
  • Ensure that the motorcycles, P&A and A&L are supplied to support our sales goals are efficiently transported upon production to dealers throughout the Latin America network.
  • Develop, implement, and continually improve plan to align retail sales planning of motorcycles, P&A and A&L and analysis intelligence to stakeholder decisions in support of sustainable growth and business case development.
  • Development of a robust system for retail and wholesale forecasting and planning and sales support program.

  • Experience Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
  • Experience working in sales and operational planning (Sales & Operations Planning), planning, logistics, sales, business development, operations or related field.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Must be well-versed in sales analysis techniques and have managed information system development projects.
  • Must have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills along with ability to develop an effective working relationship with all levels of the organization.
  • Must have a high tolerance for ambiguity, strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Preferred

  • Master of Business Administration degree.
  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of the motorcycle business and dealer operations.
