    Responsible for the execution of the Process Safety & Reliability discipline's scope of work, focusing in identifying, prioritizing, and assessing the process safety risks, constantly ensuring effective safety measures are implemented, leading to stable and capable processes following Standards and Brazilian regulation, in order to ensure and maximize assets reliability, availability, maintainability, safety and integrity (RAMSI), heading the business to safer operations and better performance as well as contributing to the Operations procedures and results achievement.

    MODEC do Brasil is looking for a professional to work in our Office in Flamengo, Rio de Janeiro, as Process Safety and Reliability Engineer with focus on activities such as:

    Core Responsibilities:

    Support the development and execution of maintenance plans, inspections, SCE lists and Operation assurance Tasks (OATS), focusing on Operation's needs, as well as monitoring the KPI's and developing actions plans, within the Process Safety & Reliability discipline scope in order to guarantee compliance with the sector regulation (ANP, IBAMA, MPT, etc.) and MODEC guidelines.

    Contribute to the Operation Reliability and its performance, regarding to the Maintenance Plan and guidelines of the Process Safety & Reliability discipline, by monitoring results, performing proper root cause assessments, and providing technical review/recommendation.

    Contribute and support Process Safety & Reliability discipline with solutions, lessons learned and knowledge, by suggesting and controlling KPIs and new reports.

    Contribute to fleet performance improvement and safety by analyzing assigned MOCs, TQs, NOIs, performing RCAs/FMEAs etc., and developing technical recommendations in order to support the Operation team.

    Monitor the effectiveness of process safety barriers to maintain the facility's operation within ALARP level by monitoring and managing its KPI's and providing technical recommendation if it is needed.

    Participate in risk analysis workshops, safety studies and technical reviews and manage the implementation of the safety studies recommendations developed during operation phase by ensuring the inclusion of the safety studies recommendations in the safety action tracking management system and verifying the effectiveness of all the recommendations with proper evidence in the system.

    Participate in the periodic embarkations on the vessels to promote process safety values, culture, and awareness amongst operations crews.

    Contribute to safeguarding MODEC from noncompliance to technical specifications and/or standards (adherence to the internal Guides and CMMS application of routines) by ensuring that periodic internal process safety audits are performed in order to identify procedures deviations and provide technical recommendations or corrective actions plans regarding the Process Safety & Reliability discipline scope.

    Provide process safety input of fleet reliability and safety by executing the updates and revisions of 5-year Safety Study review (FSA and MAH case), safety study protocols, and reviewing and validating all safety risk assessment reports to support the Operations team in order to guarantee that all aspects are analyzed.

    Furthermore, support discipline lead to monitor, maintain and conduct the periodic revalidation of the MAH Register, Bowtie and SCE lists for the operating fleet.

    Be responsible for classifying process safety events (PSE), classifying them according to their criticality and evaluating additional control measures, lessons learned, among others.

    Participate in internal and external audits (ANP, Customers and Others) related to process safety.
    Requirements and qualifications______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
    Educational Experience
    Bachelor's degree of Engineering is required; pos graduation and/or MBA are competitive edges. CREA is required. Minimum intermediate English is required. Fluent English is a competitive edge. Advanced Portuguese is required.
    Intermediate Microsoft Office package knowledge is required.

    Basic CMMS systems knowledge is a competitive edge (SAP preferred).Basic Hazard Analysis Software knowledge is a competitive edge (PHA Pro Tool preferred).Basic Visual Risk Assessment Software knowledge is a competitive edge (Bowtie XP preferred).
