- Design analog and digital circuits for low voltage (<60Vdc) IoT sensing and communication devices
- Identify and evaluate electronic components for new designs.
- Perform computer-based component, circuit, and system simulation to prove out design performance and compliance with product specifications
- Create schematics and PCB layouts.
- Prototype electronic circuits and document results.
- Interface with Software, Mechanical, and other Electronic Engineers to achieve high quality designs.
- Create and Maintain product documentation, including specifications, validation plans, and test results.
- Review and approve electrical documentation (schematics, assembly drawings, BOM, PCB layouts, etc.)
- Support transitioning newly developed products from development to production
- Proficient in designing linear and switching power supplies.
- Proficient at designing mixed analog and digital circuits for a variety of sensing applications
- Experience designing various communication protocols (I2C, RS, CAN, UART, SPI)
- Ability to design for low power applications, minimizing current consumption to meet product requirements
- Experience designing hardware for multiple RF protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular)
- Experience with circuit schematic capture and layout (Altium preferred)
- Experience with circuit simulation software (Spice, MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS)
- Understanding of design for reliability in various environmental conditions
- Able to understand and design for multiple certification requirements (FCC, UL, CE)
- Proficiency in English communication (reading, writing, and speaking) is a prerequisite for this position.
- The candidate must be willing to travel for extended periods as required.
Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, engineering technology, or a related field (required).
