    Senior Data Engineer

    Location: São Paulo-SP, Brazil or Porto Alegre-RS, Brazil

We are expanding our teams in Brazil and seeking talented individuals eager to work alongside international colleagues to deliver innovative solutions for our clients.

    Location and Work Setup

    You will be based in either São Paulo or Porto Alegre offices for at least three days a week, and the flexibility to work remotely for two days. Our office environment encourages face-to-face interactions, creativity, and teamwork with colleagues from different parts of the world.

    The Role

    Join our expanding Data Science team as a Data Engineer, where you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient and scalable data pipelines. Your work will involve ensuring seamless data integration, storage, and processing from various sources, collaborating with different teams to maintain data quality and support data-driven decision-making.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and optimize scalable and secure data pipelines for diverse business needs
    • Identify process enhancement opportunities and contribute to infrastructure improvements
    • Mentor junior engineers and foster an inclusive work environment
    • Collaborate with teams to ensure data quality and support data-driven decisions
    • Assist in prioritizing development tasks and planning with project managers
    • Share expertise, provide feedback, and encourage mutual growth within the team
    • Stay updated on new technologies and best practices to enhance the team's capabilities
    • Demonstrate commitment to accessibility and positive impact through work

    Qualifications

    • Background in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, CS, or related fields
    • Minimum 4 years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles
    • Experience in data architecture design and development
    • Proficiency in data pipeline development and optimization
    • Strong SQL skills and experience with databases and data modeling
    • Effective communication in English for technical and non-technical audiences
    • Proficiency in Python or Scala and ability to work well in teams
    • Capability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines

    Bonus Points

    • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
    • Familiarity with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
    • Knowledge of orchestration tools like Airflow and NoSQL databases
    • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Agile methodologies
