    Job Description

    Primary Function of the Position:

    The Regional Education Specialist will report directly to the Training Manager or Director for their region. The Regional Education Specialist will deliver da Vinci technology training and facilitate surgeon-led training for Physicians and OR care teams from a variety of surgical specialties. The Regional Education Specialist will be involved in the development, continuous improvement, and support of Customer Training educational initiatives and programs.

    Essential Job Duties

    • Conduct da Vinci Surgical System training programs for surgical teams at designated training centers and remote centers.
    • Lead and support Specialized training programs and academic society events. This includes supporting the needs of the surgeon educators and course participants.
    • Work with the Training team in a creative, dependable, and flexible manner to improve existing training programs.
    • Lead simulation sessions with customers as they prepare for training or to refresh skills prior to cases, as needed.
    • Facilitate virtual courses including preparation of educators and training centers to assure technical requirements ensure high quality programs.
    • Act as the regional expert for all Customer Training programs and resources.
    • Assist offsite program manager with prioritization of regional training requests.
    • Collaborate with academic program managers and other internal stakeholders to support and scale regional training programs designed to educate and support customers' development of da Vinci System technology skills.
    • Support hospital educators in the field by delivering technical training materials and assessing educators' robotic skills.
    • Support da Vinci Surgical System troubleshooting and maintenance at the training center.
    • Manage training center logistics, inventory, and training calendars as necessary.
    • Maintain all capital equipment, including but not limited to, the cleaning and sterilization of instruments and accessories as necessary.
    • Support positive relationships between external training center personnel and ISI management.
    • Contribute to the organization's quarterly goal achievements.
    • Capture workflow metrics and surveys to gather data and measure program effectiveness.
    • Support administrative tasks and projects for the Customer Training leadership teams
