Lead Buyer

for our Porto Feliz, BR and Gastonia, US sites.

Requirements
The position
To lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing purchasing strategy for categories of indirect materials which belong to the responsibility of the buyer as to deliver maximized Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) savings for these categories in corporation with Envalior Indirect Procurement Team
To identify and mitigate business risks caused by single source positions and changes in market dynamics, next to create maximal possibilities in implementing the site strategy

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement purchasing activities for site-specific categories
Define and lead cross-functional purchasing teams
Manage relationships / partnerships with internal customers
Develop and manage relationship with suppliers and track their performance
Contract Manager role for site-specific categories{{:}} implement contract and ensure contract compliance
Closely monitor internal customers contract compliance; define and take approved corrective actions to improve contract compliance and supplier performance

Quality, Environment, Safety and Health

Implement QESH structures and systems, in line with Envalior guidelines and systems, to meet legal obligations, guarantee the quality of processes and services and ensure a safe and healthy working place for employees.

Organizational Structure and Development

Develop, implement, and manage a cost effective and efficient organization of for the Purchasing discipline, and install clear governance including structures and working processes on site.

Finance, Administration and Reporting
Formulate, get approval, and manage the yearly cost budget for the Purchasing plan

The Ideal
A minimum of 5 years' experience in indirect procurement
A bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in procurement and/or relevant technical discipline
Strong communication and negotiating skills in Portuguese and English both orally and written.
The ability to build relationships and coordinate effectively among a wide range of (internal and external) stakeholders.
An analytic and resourceful mindset and is able to prioritize work.
A pro-active way of working and will always try to develop a solution together with his stakeholders.
The ability to respond to shifts in the business environment, adapt, and change course when necessary.
