    Zoetis is searching for a motivated and energetic global KAM to provide key account management support for genomic solutions to dairy and beef cattle production systems in south America with focus on Brazil. The incumbent will serve as a key account manager for Zoetis colleagues, commercial partners, and key opinion leaders in South America. The incumbent will be expected to provide technical and business support to the local Zoetis team as well as their customers in the field. The incumbent will be expected to support the business strategy, guide new product development, and collaborate in the development of value propositions for genetics products. The incumbent will work extensively with fellow Zoetis colleagues, dairy & beef producers, and Zoetis partners. The incumbent will act as a resource to translate genomic solutions into actionable strategies that have demonstratable impacts for customers. This role will work with commercial business development, KOL, partner management, commercial contracts & negotiation as well as technical expertise and training of Zoetis FF, partners, and customers. The incumbent will play a key role for Zoetis genetics success in Brazil and will be expected to drive growth in our portfolio for Brazil & south America.

    Position Purpose:

    Colleagues in PAH Key Account Management (KAM) are business and technical champions a for Zoetis Genetics in the application of genomic solutions to solve customer's challenges. They provide leadership in the application of genomic technologies for their markets and are responsible for delivering commercial objectives through direct sales and business support. They serve as technical & business experts to support the continue education of local sales, technical & marketing teams.

  • Primary Responsibilities:

    Selling Skills and Customer Value Delivery

  • Be able to turn information into animal health and productivity outcomes that achieve broad farm objectives
  • Provide local teams with the expertise necessary to accomplish sales objectives via a direct to farm sales model
  • Consistently demonstrate Solution Selling/Challenger Sales/Insight Selling capabilities
  • Be comfortable with a complex and long sales process that requires engagement with all levels of decision makers (herdsman to banker to CFO to Board of Directors)
  • Understand farm level financial drivers including the implications of milk price, disease incidence, reproductive efficiencies, feed costs and heifer inventories
  • Capable of navigating dairy records management systems (DRMS)
  • Willing and able to travel both regionally and globally to accomplish business objectives > 50%
  • Technical Knowledge

  • Thorough understanding of the use of information to support farm improvement strategies in contemporary livestock production
  • dairy economics, and modern dairy genetics
  • Consistently build and demonstrate relevant technical knowledge, verbal fluency, and dairy production expertise to consult with customers and external partners to drive greater adoption of Zoetis Genetics products
  • Adapt global product positioning statements and key messages to ensure they resonate within assigned markets
  • Extensive Knowhow of the dairy industry in Brazil

  • Ensure colleagues have training and support needed for success in their roles
  • Liaise with Global Strategic Marketing to ensure that local market tactics are aligned to the agreed strategy to deliver global objectives

  • Qualifications

    Required Experience and Skills

  • 2-3 years of experience in dairy industry OR advanced training in dairy production
  • Demonstrated knowledge of modern genetic evaluations; advanced knowledge strongly preferred
  • Excels at long-term relationship building
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • BS plus 5 years sales experience; DVM or Master's in a relevant field will be a plus
  • Track record of successful professional performance
  • Dairy production expertise
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work remotely with a global team
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English; additional fluency in Spanish would be highly advantageous.
  • Desired skills

  • Comfort with a dairy's profit and loss statement
  • Familiarity with dairy records management systems (DC305, AFI, BoviSynch, UniformAgri, etc.)
  • Technical expertise in genomics
