    Mission of the position

    The Director of Operations will be responsible for leading Brazil continuous improvements projects, focused on internal efforts. Leads execution for sales leadership on highest priority initiatives. Focused on continuous internal alignment on key commercial priorities (., pricing, governance) for significant event and liaising with Operations to ensure a consistent Commercial strategy.Leads the Strategic Marketing team in understanding the markets Buckman is pursuing, facilitates the development and management of the offerings required to address the needs of the market and sets the strategy to maximize Buckman market share across markets and product lines. Identifies potential targets by product line.

    Responsibility

  • Clear concise leadership/Vision and a sense of urgency through planning, providing resources and strong/effective leadership to department managers (Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Compliance) to ensure that the organization's strategic objectives are achieved.
  • Creating, coordinating and driving the departmental support plans in order to meet the company's sales and marketing objectives.
  • Champions operational excellence thru collaboration with the General Manager and/or Business Unit Leader to devise strategies for achieving the organization's objectives in light of both internal and external factors.
  • Providing effective management, financial reporting and control systems and exercising appropriate budgetary control to meet the organization's approved commitments.
  • Establishing appropriate management control and business reporting processes, systems, and tools in all departments.
  • Managing company assets, procedures and processes to ensure ongoing improvement in profitability and cash flow.
  • Investigating and communicating with the General Manager and/or Business Unit Leader on all matters of potentially significant financial impact to the company, including costs, credit control, cash flow, product line evaluation and capital expenditures.
  • Ensuring that external relationships with current and prospective suppliers are maintained at the highest level.
  • Minimum requirements

  • University Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Master's degree (MA/MS/MBA) or equivalent
  • Ten years' experience in Operation area in Chemical Sector
  • 5 years' experience in a senior management and leadership role.
  • Fluent English and Portuguese area mandatory
  • Advanced Spanish is desirable
