We are currently looking for a Divisional Internal Auditor to join the LATAM team of our client, a globally listed manufacturing company.
Reporting directly to the LATAM CFO, the position will be based in Brazil, Colombia, Panama, Paraguay, or Uruguay, preferably in a city with excellent international airport connections.
ResponsibilitiesExecutes, plans, and provides reports on audits/reviews delegated by the LATAM CFOAnalyses policies and procedures, applying professional accounting, IT, and auditing standards to assess and validate financial, IT, operational, and risk management controlsFormulates practical and cost-effective recommendations, endorsed by management, ensuring they are realistic, achievable, and add value to the business operationsFoster constructive relationships with Divisional management and finance teams to promote mutual comprehension of the internal audit's role, collaborating with them on enhancing business processes and internal controlsEngage with significant external stakeholders, including auditors and pertinent agenciesExperiencePossesses a local ACCA or equivalentIdeally Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or willing to take this examA seasoned External and/or Internal Audit professional with experience in an international setting, preferably within a manufacturing groupIdeally, has 4 to 6 years of total experience, in a Big 4 environment, along with a background in internal auditing within the manufacturing sectorDemonstrates the capability to maintain a suitable balance between independence and practical judgmentUtilizes a risk-based methodologyProficient in computer-aided audit techniquesFamiliarity with IT General Controls auditing
OthersProficient in Portuguese/Spanish with a strong command of EnglishSelf-motivated with a strong ability to work autonomouslyDemonstrates a high level of personal and professional integrityCapable of effectively influencing and engaging individuals at all levels within the DivisionDemonstrates robust problem-solving skillsExhibits sound business judgment and the capacity to make decisive decisionsStrong negotiation skillExcellent communication skills both written and verbal
