POSITION SUMMARY:

Support the accounting, tax and administrative aspects of the business. Provide reliable financial and operational information necessary for business decisions. Support Job Cost and Financial Accounting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for gathering the information required for local compliance and providing support with the year-end Tax provision and returns tax.
• Experience on Tax Department routine.
• Solid experience with calculation of federal taxes (IPI, PIS and COFINS)
• Solid experience with calculation of state tax (ICMS)
• Solid experience with calculation of withholding taxes (IRRF, INSS, ISS, PIS and COFINS)
• Solid experience in ancillary obligations like GIA and SPEDs
• Responsibility for the implementation and compliance of obligations related to the tax sector.
• Support internal and external customers.
• Responsibility for billing processes, issuing Notas Fiscais of materials and service.
• Review all tax entries to gathering the correct appropriate tax credit.
• Perform other accounting, finance, and purchase duties, as needed on a day-to-day basis.
• Participate in a wide variety of special projects.
• Provide information for required governmental surveys and reports, as requested.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understanding Accounting payables and Accounting Receivables is a plus.
• Experience with purchasing and accounting issues is a plus.
• Experience in TOTVS system is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in an office atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods of time is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. Ability to lift and carry 10 lbs. on a regular basis is required.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in law school, Finance or Accounting is desired.
• Technician courses in economy, Law school, Finance or Accounting
• Five (5) years or more of "hands on" as Tax analyst experience is strongly preferred.
• It is appreciated have previous experience as an accounting analyst on an industry
• Must be trustworthy and able to maintain confidential information.
• Verbal and written proficiency in the English and Portuguese language is required.
• Must maintain a professional appearance.
