    Your "Day One" starts, working from Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00, in our data centers.

    During this period, you have the opportunity to gain an understanding of data centers through hands-on installation of fiber cabling, server racks and other infrastructure equipment.

    You will also understand how to handle and dispose legacy equipment while keeping customer data secure.

    You will work independently or with your colleagues, and also work with the teams that support this infrastructure and the customers that rely on it.


    As you receive on-the-job training, gain cross-functional, transferable skills, and establish yourself as a knowledgeable, efficient technician, your contract can be extended or become a full-time role.

    You will find opportunities to expand within the team and the organization.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and/or workflows.
    • Adhere to security and safety best practices in the data center
    • Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and daily/weekly goals achievement
    • Basic Networking removal/installation and clearing of configurations.
    • Unpacking/repacking fragile electronics
    • Perform duties constantly and without deviations unless otherwise instructed
    • Updating progress through a web ticketing system
    • Reporting of processes and regular status updates
    • Work with crossfunctional teams on a regular basis to complete routine work
    • Contribute to the development of other team members
    • Escalating to senior technicians and management as needed/required.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- High school or equivalent diploma

    • Are 18 years of age or older
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
    • Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
    • Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordination with Manager
    • 2+ years triaging and repairing data center fiber optic cabling/systems and network hardware
    • Proven Knowledge on TCP/IP networking, cabling, optic types, test equipment such as VFL, power meter, and OTDR.
    • Broad understanding of infrastructure technologies.
    • Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
    • Familiarity with common networking terms.
    • Ability to travel 50%+ outside base location work area may be required possibly including international travels.
    • Ability to identify issues root cause and process inefficiencies.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems

    • Certifications or knowledge in CCNA, CCNP or JNCIA.
    • Comfort ability with small to medium project scopes and ambiguous details within work environment
    • Tactical judgement and analytical skills, ability to prioritize tasks based on fluctuating needs
    • Basic understanding of major Command Line Protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, etc.) and common Networking Protocols.
    • Experience with medium to large scale datacenter network implementations and support, experience working in virtualized enterprise networking environments.
    • Experience with IT best practice frameworks (ITIL, LEAN, AGILE).
    • May automate tasks, modify small tools and propose new SOPs.
