We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure to join our team. This remote position is designed for a dedicated professional with a passion for developing and maintaining scalable services, particularly within the entertainment or media industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Kubernetes, Terraform, and backend programming, and a proven track record of building and managing robust infrastructure solutions. As part of our Infrastructure Group, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our services to support Paramount Plus and other large-scale deployments.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes and Terraform.

Develop and maintain backend services, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

Collaborate with the development teams to integrate infrastructure builds and deployments into the software development lifecycle.

Lead the creation and maintenance of API standards and big-band deployment strategies.

Support and mentor a small team of engineers, providing guidance and leadership.

Enhance system observability and reliability through robust monitoring and alerting frameworks.

Participate in on-call rotations and be available for evening work as required based on the U.S. Coast time zones.

Ensure consistent and clear communication regarding project status and deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in infrastructure engineering.

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Terraform, including detailed knowledge of deployment strategies.

Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Go (preferred), or similar languages.

Experience with continuous deployment (CD) tools and methodologies, with knowledge of Harness being advantageous.

Familiarity with Helm charts and their use in managing Kubernetes applications.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Kubernetes certification is highly desirable.

No significant gaps in employment history.

A strong desire to grow professionally and a passion for the role.

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

Prior experience in the entertainment or media industry, although candidates from the financial domain are also welcome.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Tools Required:

Proficiency in Kubernetes, Terraform, and at least one backend programming language (Go preferred).

Experience with API standardization tools and deployment orchestration tools like Harness.

Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
