    Qualifications:

    Boeing Brazil is seeking a Senior Avionics Surveillance Engineer , reporting to the Avionics Manager, working out of the Sao Jose Dos Campos office.

    The Senior Avionics Surveillance Engineer will join the Boeing Commercial Aviation engineering group being member of the Avionics team to support Surveillance systems development activities in several different platforms, including legacy development programs.

    Position Responsibilities:

  • Execute and coordinate activities to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Leads and coordinates work to analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  • Execute and coordinate activities to run tests and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
  • This position will require occasional national and/or international travel.
  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil
  • Must have a degree in Engineering
  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA)
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language
  • Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • In depth experience with Surveillance systems (TCAS/ATC/WXR)
  • In depth experience with qualification testing activities
  • In depth experience working in development programs and developing avionics system requirements, development assurance and ARP4754A
  • In depth experience with Part 25 certification process
  • Relocation:

    This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

    Additional Information:

    This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
