Development, processing and operating of all Contract Logistics related businesses of Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina (South America Cluster), to drive business development of the entire Contract Logistics business in the cluster with full P&L responsibility to Identification, initiation, development and implement new business, in target vertical market segments, geographies and with target accounts to develop, sell, implement and operate all value-added services related to the Contract Logistics business (e.g.

assembly, kitting, sequencing, documentation, customs clearance, insurance, cluster/country collection/distribution directly related to a warehousing business etc.) Develop, sell, implement, and operate integrated supply chain business (with joint solutions, interfacing Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Land Transport).


Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure highly successful operations, delivering to customer commitments
  • Leading and involved with customer relationship building, management and expansion
  • Accountable for the economic performance and target achievement of Cluster Contract Logistics/SCM
  • Identify and progress opportunities that support the profitable growth of the CL and cluster/country distribution in close relation with the respective regional functions
  • Implement and drive corporate (DB Schenker), regional and national operational business excellence programs of CL
  • Hire, train and develop qualified and experienced contract logistics experts
  • Develops regional and cluster/country CL strategies (products and solutions, business development targets, operational SOPs, business excellence programs etc.) derived from and based on the corporate (DB Schenker) strategy of CL
  • Implements corporate (DB Schenker) ITstrategy, systems/solutions for CL
  • Implements and operates business excellence programs on corporate (DB Schenker), regional and cluster/country level of CL
  • Manages (if applicable) the country business development and/or operational excellence funds and allocations to cluster/counties
  • Taking HR decisions related to Cluster/Country CL managers with matrix reporting line in close cooperation with the Cluster/Country CEO and HR
  • Implements cluster/country CL strategy (products and solutions, business development targets, operational SOPs, business excellence programs etc.)
  • Defines and enhances the organizational setup and cluster/country selfsimilar structures for CL
  • Interface with key cluster/country customers to facilitate new business scoping, pricing and RFQ responses as well as defining project plans for implementation of customers' requirements in the Cluster/Country
  • Processes cluster/country market intelligence, KPIs and statistical data/reporting to Head of CL Region
  • Supports regional CL in development of cluster/country aspects of corporate (DB Schenker) CL strategy (products and solutions, business development targets, business excellence etc.)
  • Supports regional CL regarding regional CL tender, regional Sales and Marketing regarding identification and acquisition of cluster/country strategic accounts and attendance on key customer meetings
  • Being informed about cluster/country market and customer developmentsDetails/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills This is a Senior leadership level position. An extremely high level of business acumen, as well as exceptional financial planning, critical thinking, communication, delegation, diversity management, leadership, decisionmaking, and influencing skills are required. Results orientation, ability to attract, develop, and motivate others, and serve as a leader in innovation and change are required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
