About the Role


In this role, you will be part of our Mobility Strategic Finance team for Brazil, one of Uber's main markets, partnering across local Operations and Strategy & Planning teams, and in close collaboration with the LatAm and HQ Finance teams.


You will help scale the financial reporting, analytics, and planning capabilities, track financial and operational performance, and drive strategic insights to support business leaders on multi-million strategic decisions.

It is an outstanding position to have visibility into the entire organization.


What You'll Do:


  • Sophisticated financial modeling: build models from scratch, improve existing models, and break sophisticated models down into components that consolidate;
  • Think strategically and implement: the models we build aid in decision making and strategy we operationalize our insights and support daily execution;
  • Monthly close: besides tracking financial performance of the business on a weekly basis, analyze variances between actuals, forecast, and plan use insights to iterate on forecasts and build/discuss potential action plans with crossfunctional customers;
  • Business optimization: support initiatives that optimize our P&L. Partner with local crossfunctional teams and Central Finance teams to provide financial insights and assess the company's overall progress towards its strategic objectives;
  • Special projects: New initiatives, products, risks and opportunities are constantly arising. You will help to financially evaluate and drive these important initiatives beyond traditional FP&A on a variety of projects

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or other quantitative field
  • Fluency in both Portugese and English
  • Outstanding analytical skills standard methodologies are secondnature, your models are efficient, scalable, and intuitive
  • Excellent communication and people skills numbers are key, but a business is built with people
  • A teamwork mentality and an ability to communicate assertively that will ensure positive relationships with cross functions.
  • Selfstarter you will take initiative, be dedicated, set and drive toward goals
  • Ability to prioritize we are consistently working on multiple projects at any given time, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working in an ambiguous environment and has the ability to optimally multitask
  • Standout colleague this is a highly collaborative and encouraging team environment
  • Experience with Excel/gsheets, SQL, and/or statistical software package
