The GCO Content Delivery Associate is a member of AstraZeneca's GBS Commercial Operations (GCO) Production Team and reports to the GCO Regional Production Lead.

Working directly with local brand teams and digital teams, the CDA will be accountable for the delivery of GCO production services/projects.

Serving as the point of contact for brand teams and creative agencies, this individual must have the ability to partner effectively with key stakeholders and understand business and customer experience goals.

The CDA will work closely with preferred suppliers, in-house creative teams and internal cross-functional areas to ensure successful and timely delivery of projects.


Major Responsibilities/ Requirements

  • Ensure a clear and concise understanding of the customer's needs (i.e., Brand/launch strategies, digital goals and operational maturity).
  • Oversee digital, marketing (Global/Local) project planning and execution
  • Coordinate with key crossfunctional teams (i.e., Marketing, Digital, PSP, Medical, Access).
  • Ensure quality of product and special attention to detail through all aspects of the production process, proofing to ensure accuracy and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Highly effective Project Manager that can demonstrate strong proactive project management skills for all aspects of production, including clear communication, prioritization and critical thinking.
  • Partner effectively with local creative agencies and AstraZeneca (AZ) Digital IT teams in order to optimize the internal process, digital and omnichannel campaigns.
  • Partner effectively with Global, Global Business Services, AZ regional teams, preferred production suppliers and in house creative teams.
  • Accountable for identifying and understanding local market content trends and ensure global content/campaigns meet the needs of the marketing companies.
  • Works with their respective market to ensure all necessary communications and change management activities are delivered to the region and/or local marketing company for new content solutions.
  • Identifies potential new production capabilities to support operational/value expansion and proactively shares them with GCO colleagues and leadership.
  • Leverage reporting and utilization metrics to communicate overall adoption of GCO production. Where there are gaps, work with GCO Leadership and Global Production Leadership to identify opportunities for improvement to increase efficiency.
  • Possesses strong business acumen and understanding of global business services and corresponding business requirements. Must be able to assess complex process and system interdependencies and devise appropriate change management approaches in order to realize and sustain benefits of new production capabilities.
  • GCO services are delivered through multiple outsourced partners in conjunction with AZ dedicated resources. This role demands an understanding of supplier infrastructure to ensure continuous value optimisation for AstraZeneca. It also requires a continuous review of demand and capabilities that our partners need to provide to make sure they are aligned to the market's needs.
  • Low level of international travel required

Essential skills:


  • Relevant experience and a depth of knowledge in the following areas:
  • Experience within Pharmaceutical or Healthcare Industry
  • Experience with proven track record in managing multiple projects in a fastpaced environment with competing priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, facilitation and negotiating skills
  • Native Portuguese speaker with strong oral and written fluency in Business English
  • Proven track record working cross functionally with high level of commitment and follow through
  • Project management understanding and practice
  • Financial performance accountability
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders
  • Driving innovation and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) as well as BOX, MS Teams, Smartsheet and One Note

Preferred skills:


  • Sales Experience
  • Experience with Local and/or Global Brand Marketing Experience
  • Digital Marketing Experience, Omnichannel knowledge desired.
  • Supplier Management Experience
  • Portuguese and English Language Experience. Desired Spanish intermediate proficiency.
