Job Summary:

As the Head of Consumer Planning and Strategy for Diageo Brazil, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and profitability by understanding consumer insights, developing strategic plans, and executing marketing strategies.

You will lead a team responsible for analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to inform business decisions and drive brand performance.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the Brazilian market, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for driving consumer-centric initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute comprehensive consumer-centric strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and market leadership.


Consumer Insights:

Lead the team in conducting rigorous consumer research, market analysis, and trend forecasting to identify key insights and opportunities for brand development.


Brand Strategy:

Collaborate with local and global brand teams to develop brand positioning, messaging, and innovative marketing campaigns that resonate with Brazilian consumers.


Competitive Analysis:

Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify threats and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to maintain a competitive edge.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal stakeholders to align consumer strategies with commercial objectives, ensuring seamless execution and effective resource allocation


Team Leadership:

Inspire and empower a high-performing team of consumer planners and strategists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.


Performance Tracking:

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of consumer strategies, regularly evaluating performance and optimizing plans as needed.


Budget Management:
Manage the consumer planning and strategy budget effectively, optimizing resource allocation to maximize ROI and achieve business goals.


Stakeholder Management:

Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including agencies, partners, and industry influencers, to drive alignment and support for consumer initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in consumer planning, strategy development, and brand management, ideally within the consumer goods or beverage industry.
  • Indepth knowledge of the Brazilian market, consumer behavior, and cultural nuances, with a track record of successfully launching and growing brands in the region.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate crossfunctional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Strategic thinker with a resultsoriented mindset, capable of driving innovation and driving change in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English; Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
