Local Unit & Position Description:


DNV Maritime Area South America is seeking an Intern to join our highly competent team of Ships in Operation Unit (SiO) in Rio de Janeiro.


What You'll Do

  • DNV uses a approach to education, so you will learn from experiences, lectures, and being mentored by experts in the industry.
  • Learn how to be a competent and confident professional
  • Have the opportunity to engage in service and business development
  • Be part of a culturally diverse and highly experienced global network
  • Have the opportunity to work on domestic and international projects
  • Visit customer locations and learn from our surveyors in the field

Main tasks

  • Support on resource planning for ships in operation activities
  • Support on technical proposals
  • Interface with external and internal Clients
  • Support on administrative tasks

Position Qualifications:

Position:


  • Studying Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture with strong analytical and mathematical skills and graduation predicted to December 2024 or later
  • A passion for the company's objective to safeguard life, property and the environment
  • Strong technical skills and interest in industry
  • Native in Portuguese language and strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Availability to work at least 20 hours per week

Personal:


  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and in writing
  • A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate across groups and other offices for shared goals and aims
  • Support of our processes on the way of transformation in a new digital world
  • Eager to learn and develop
  • Field services (mainly onboard ships) oriented
