_Position Summary_

The Landis+Gyr IT Change & Configuration Analyst manages the daily execution and enforcement of the OT Change Control and Configuration Management processes.

He/she is a key facilitator and coordinator in the request for change (RFC) process and CMDB configuration management process for the Operational Technology (OT) organization.

The IT Change & Configuration Analyst participates in the change advisory board (CAB) meetings to review, prioritize and accept/reject RFC's submitted through the designated change control software.

This position is focused on the control of changes and configurations released into the production environment.


_Key Responsibilities_
Supports the daily execution and enforcement of the Change Management and Configuration Management processes
Reviews change requests to ensure that all Change & Configuration Management requirements and standards are enforced and properly categorized according to established guidelines
Verifies completeness and timeliness of changes & configurations and assists in scheduling of changes and ensuring proper resources have been assigned
Assists in creating a Forward Schedule of changes
Obtains authorization for submitted change requests from the Change Authority
Assists with CMDB resource updates as needed when changes occur
Evaluates completed changes to ensure change and configuration management processes were correctly followed
Participates in the improvement of the change and configuration management procedures and work instructions
Works with infrastructure teams in the planning of Quarterly Maintenance change events
Assists in administering the change control and configuration management software (currently Change Gear but will be migrating to ServiceNow)
Supports all forms of the production Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings as needed
Create RFC's and works with customers and appropriate teams to coordinate customer migrations to the Google Cloud Platform.
Creates RFC's as needed for upgrades & new installs. Coordinate date/time with customer/TIM/TIE. Make sure RFC tasks get assigned out by Team Managers.
Supports auditing activities for the Change & Configuration Management functions for compliance with established procedures and OT control frameworks
Assists in maintaining the enterprise change and configuration management process that complies with cybersecurity and IT best practices
Helps with administering and maintaining the change and configuration management tools (currently Change Gear and moving to ServiceNow)

Assists with automated procedures for verifying the accuracy of configuration items, adherence to configuration management process and identifying process deficiencies.


_Education & Experience_

Required Minimum Level of Education:
Associate degree
Required Minimum Years of Experience: 2+ to 5

_Knowledge/Skills/Abilities_

_Required Skills & Experience:
_

0-3 years technical experience - preferably in a Change and/or Configuration Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) role
1-3 years of ServiceNow experience
Experience with Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
Knowledge of ServiceNow Service Mapping and/or Cloud Discovery
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and how to store this data in ServiceNow CMDB
Solid understanding of ITIL framework and demonstrated proficiency in the ITIL processes
General understanding of technologies and cloud services architecture, specifically Google Cloud
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Accustomed to working in an environment driven by high standards for service and system delivery
Uses leadership skills to resolve a wide range of issues in creative and practical ways to satisfy customer needs
Ability to examine a change request to identify business service, system and/or customer impacts
Highly adaptable in changing environments
Ability to work within a diverse team
Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised
Ability to plan and maintain schedules
Leads effective meetings to reach objectives and goals of the process
