The Product Legal team is a group of talented and diligent legal professionals that provide frontline support for the development, launch and execution of products, features and programs for Uber.

We advocate on behalf of our regional partners and specialists as well as the client.


About the Role:


We are currently searching for a Junior Legal Counsel located in São Paulo, Brazil with expertise in product legal analysis and commercial transactions to join the Uber Legal Team as we continue to scale our business globally.

What You'll Do:


  • Work closely with our Brazilian team and other members of the legal department on commercial contracts, marketing, corporate and product matters across the region
  • Be an active partner, and ensure the provision of timely businessfocused advice, to a variety of business areas including product development, vehicle solutions, and business development
  • Work on commercial contracts such as technology agreements, promotional agreements, sponsorships, and partnerships as well as general procurement and marketing and advertising initiatives in the country
  • Take ownership of ensuring we have the right processes and tools available to enable the team's capability to scale as the business does
  • Provide strategic and proactive legal advice to internal business groups. It's our job to peer around corners for the business and ensure that we are wellpositioned for the future
  • Work hard, have a lot of fun, and learn by doing it

Basic Qualifications:


  • Strong academic credentials.
  • 4+ years of legal work experience, preferably with some of it in commercial contracts, product legal analysis and/or consumer law experience at a top law firm or acting as inhouse counsel.
  • Fluent English required, Spanish is a plus.
  • Have high standards, integrity and strong ethical values
  • Enjoy working in a fastpaced environment for a company with operations around the world
  • Keen business judgment and ability to analyze sophisticated legal issues while considering risk, while providing holistic advice to business and other key partners.
  • Attention to detail, ability to multitask, handle cases, and carry out relevant projects with limited oversight.
  • Excellent communication and social skills required strong writing, research, and negotiation skills vital.
