Job Summary:


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Supervise the activities of subordinates in compliance with the contract and in accordance with cost, quality and safety standards and procedures, distributing tasks, guiding their forwarding and resolving doubts, seeking the quick and effective achievement of the objectives outlined for their area of responsibility Act.
  • Control and analyze the drilling parameters and/or behavioral abnormalities for loss of circulation, kicking, drilling breakage, tool jamming, equipment failure, etc., detecting the abnormal events that occurred, communicating them to those in charge and/or supervisor of Sonda's operations so that the necessary corrective measures can be taken.
  • Maintain the reliability and quality of the work to be carried out, accompanying the survey and storage of information on the activities carried out in the well drilling, installing and testing the data acquisition system, ensuring the monitoring and control of drilling throughout the period of the operation.
  • Contribute to the correct functioning of the equipment used in the well drilling process, verifying the correct cabling, connections and installation of sensors in the different places of the Rig, carrying out tests, evaluating problems encountered and generating or guiding the maintenance or transformation according to the level of knowledge of each one and/or providing a qualified technician for its execution.
  • Maintain control of the equipment and materials under the responsibility of your area, monitoring inspection and periodic inventory, comparing the list of the Mudlogging unit with what is stipulated in the service contract, as well as arranging for the issuance of a purchase order for the same to guarantee stock.
  • Provide for the issuance of a followup report for customers and superiors, regarding behavioral information for equipment and sensor failures and operational and special geological, observing the followup and measures observed.
  • Contribute to the quality and safety of Sonda's operations, in accordance with the norms protected by the client and the company, implementing these procedures in the unit's service activities, as well as collaborating during the process of carrying out audits in the Quality System.
  • When requested to assist in the maintenance of equipment at the operational base.

Experience and Exposure:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology or Engineering.
  • Data acquisition course, Data Analyst training course and Fire Fighting Salvage Course recognized by Customers.
