Full Job Description:

As a Technical Team Lead - SOC in our Security Operations Team. Reporting into the Chief Information Security Officer. An experienced IT professional to join our growing Security Services team based in our Regional Office in Colombo.

This role requires a sense of exceptional service orientation, highly developed analytical skills and the ability to take initiative when implementing processes.

The purpose of this role is to lead and development of the Brennan SOC division - a CoE for Security Operations for the business.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Provide the guidance and leadership to the SOC team to achieve its SLA targets
Mentor and a role model for the entire team to perform in a proactive level
Ensure shift operations are carried out as per SOC processes
Ensure that the SOC team perform its services to customers within the SLA
Drive the team to be the centre of excellence for IT security knowledge by taking part in R&D Scope
Responsible for all Security Incident Response and Security Assessment operations
Ensure routine checks are performed to ensure the security level of clients' systems
Management of case escalations and existing case status on engineer queues
Ensure that Cherwell Journal notes are as per the Brennan Standards time logging is done as per expectation Expectations
Provides advice and guidance on security strategies to manage identified risks and ensure adoption and adherence to standards. Obtains and acts on vulnerability information and conducts security risk assessments, business impact analysis and accreditation on complex information systems.
Investigates major breaches of security and recommends appropriate control improvements. Contributes to development of information security policy, standards and guidelines Security
Ensures that all identified breaches in security are promptly and thoroughly investigated and that any system changes required to maintain security are implemented
Ensures that security records are accurate and complete and that request for support are dealt with according to set standards and procedures. Contributes to the creation and maintenance of policy, standards, procedures and documentation for security.

Skills you need to be successful in the role:

Degree or equivalent in Information Technology
A minimum of 5 years IT experience; at least four of those years focused on IT security
Mandatory Certifications***
CEH or Equivalent
Highly desirable Certifications (1 or more of):
**SSCP, CISSP, CISA, CCNP, MCSA, CCNA, MS 500, AZ 500, SC 900
