Job Description Summary:
Role focused on CSA (customized service agreements) part of GE Aviation's Services business.

Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis.

Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Functional support owner and manager of CSA contracts transacted through the GE Celma legal entity. This includes working closely with product line leadership to collaborate on processes, providing accounting insight for potential new deals or arrangements, and working with analysts to ensure contract parameters within ERP system are correct.
  • Understand and interpret applicable Enterprise Standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Process Maps to deliver globally competitive financial process/accounting services.
  • Execute elements of the monthly closing and reporting process for both US GAAP and Statutory Reporting including preparing manual journal entries, explanation to product line and functional leadership of account balance fluctuations, and timely deliverance of reporting documents.
  • Ensure account reconciliations for areas of ownership are prepared and reviewed in accordance with policy and submitted timely each period.
  • Utilizes indepth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy.
  • Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.
  • Function with some autonomy but follows functional practices and precedents or welldefined policies or review of end results. Ability to modify procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
  • Uses some judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, daytoday problems.
  • Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis.
  • Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
  • Support FP&A with information needed for forecasting rhythms.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance and/or accounting from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Accounting Operations or Finance.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to anticipate, communicate, report and resolve challenges
  • Ability to work nonstandard business hours during monthly and quarterly close, if needed
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Understanding of how operational processes link to the financial statements
  • Proficient in English, verbal and written
