Minimum qualifications:


  • 5 years of experience with service vendors in customer support, telesales, engineering, and extended workforce.
  • Experience in reviewing, drafting, and editing statements of work across service areas in customer service, engineering, and sales operation.
  • Experience conducting and drawing insights from data analysis.
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently.

  • Experience in preparing business cases, consulting point of view, and presenting to stakeholders.

About the job:


As a Vendor Solutions Consultant, you will be instrumental in enabling the execution of the Cloud Vendor Management Office (VMO) strategy.

You will assist VMO in sourcing and establishing vendors, engaging structures, and governance models.

You will work as an advisor and expert in vendor extended workforce space to our business stakeholders, and partner with cross-functional teams for successful execution.

In this role, you will aid the benchmarking of right rates for the right role enabling Google Cloud to engage high-quality vendors and performance at optimal costs.

You'll work on areas such as agreements, vendor selection, administration of requests for location strategy, rate card discussions, etc.

You will support the development of standardized terms for vendor Statements of Work (SOW) for Google Cloud services which will protect Google from operational, regulatory, and reputational risks.

Responsibilities:


  • Review, analyze, and categorize various agreements across cloud vendor operations, and compare against VMO established agreement standards to identify gaps and minimize operational risk for Google with effective mitigation strategies.
  • Review and propose location strategy, rate cards, and commercial clauses in agreements to identify gap to VMO established standards and industry best practices.
  • Write up requests for crossdocuments detailing scope of services, service requirements, capability questionnaires, response templates, pricing templates, etc. Collate and summarize requests for crossresponses for leadership reviews.
  • Conduct primary and secondary external market research around cost benchmarks across global locations and service types, identifying opportunities for improvement of our agreements to payments lifecycle.
  • Work with global vendors and collaborate with crossfunctional business teams across Cloud Support, Sales, and Engineering.
