Responsibilities:
- Editorial projects from conception to completion, performing a range of editorial tasks throughout the different stages of the production of publications:
- provide support to authors, adaptors and senior content editors and track progress of their work;
- update and rewrite materials under supervision of the content creation coordinator and senior content editors;
- perform content research, fact check, images research;
- correct manuscripts, approve pictures and illustrations;
- assess external vendors' work (proofreaders, freelance content creators, audio studios, editorial assistants) and give feedback
Experience, skills and qualifications:
- Essential_
- Languages or linguistics degree
- Advanced level of English
- Previous experience within the editorial field, specifically with textbooks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proofreading skills
- Attention to detail
- Commitment to highquality work combined with excellent time management skills
- Desirable _
- English degree
- Familiarity with English textbooks for the private market
- Previous experience being involved in projects addressing PNLD (Programa Nacional do Livro Didático)
- Knowledge of the BNCC (Base Nacional Comum Curricular) for English teaching
- Experience as a teacher
