- Actively participates on the Global & Latin American Chemical Legislation teams to promote crossgeography consistency and leverage learnings
- Monitors regulatory and industry developments regarding product safety and hazard communication, and works with key stakeholders to understand business implications and respond accordingly
- Represents and advocates on the company's behalf on industry committees
- Prepares for and participates in internal and external audits and assessments
- Supports the Latin American HazComm Specialists in Spanish speaking countries
- Develops and owns the Latin American Chemical Legislation map
- Advises the business on potential impacts of registrations and coformulant changes
- Actively participates on the Global and Regional Chemical Legislation Teams and leverages learnings
- Monitors regulatory and industry developments regarding product safety and hazard communication, and works with key stakeholders to understand business implications and respond accordingly
- First point of contact for the Latin American Business Partners to escalate issues
- Builds trust and fosters strong partnerships with internal teams and key stakeholders
- Perform Material Data Governance Process Requests (Including CMT, MRDB, MDG)
- Maintain and analyze regulatory Dangerous Goods data in SAP
- Identify need for Management of Change when DG classification change is required
- Identify and troubleshoot regulatory data issues with senior DG member
- Perform and review transportation classifications for products, intermediates, and R&D.
- Collaborate with other workstreams including but not limited to Supply Chain, Artwork and Labelling, Packaging, and Planning, Hazcomm, and Chemical Legislation.
- Provide additional support for product compliance activities within the System and Information Solutions Team, as needed
- Assist with LAR Requirement for regional consultation on Chemical Legislation processes
- Complete request daily to meet required turnaround times set for tasks
Qualifications:
- BS degree in chemistry, biology, or related scientific field or Business/ IT field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of Regulatory experience is preferred.
- Current and valid regulatory certifications in 49CFR, TDG, IATA, IMDG, Preferred.
- Agricultural business and/or Transportation/Dangerous Goods Experience
- Develop/Proficient in ERP Product Compliance functionality, as well as other modules for orders, deliveries and how they integrate with Product Compliance.
- Languages: Fluent/Advanced English is a must. Spanish will be a differential.
- Excellent collaboration skills, including both written and oral
- Detail oriented close attention to detail and minor changes
- Focus on Customers builds strong relationships and delivers customercentric solutions
- Adaptive to shifts and changes in priorities
- Proficiency using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint is necessary along with the aptitude to utilize other internal IT systems as needed.
