Job Purpose and Impact


The Sustainability Product Line Manager Commercial Operations will be uniquely placed between commercial operations and sustainability to generate value for the agricultural sector in South America while developing solutions that enable farming to contribute towards fighting climate change.

In this role, you will be responsible for the P&L generated by the sale of sustainability products & services to customers.

Responsible for the construction, development and execution of the strategic game plan for the sustainability product line in South America.

Collaborate with the the Sales Lead and the Sustainability Lead in the areas of strategy, analysis and planning.

Interaction with the sales teams, origination and sustainability, product creation, ensuring product technical support to sales teams and execution of resources and budget.

Monitor industry trends and competitors in sustainable products and disseminate through the appropriate product creation Key Accountabilities

Works with sustainability, commercial team and customers on a daily basis to manage large impact decisions.

Works directly with Commercial Managers, Merchants and customers to meet their needs in solving routine problems, and addressing complaints and concerns requiring a full understanding of Merchandising practices and procedures.

Responsible for sustainability products within our agriculture business in the region.
With some oversight from Manager Director, analyzes supply and demand factors and market trends to provide input for Commercial Managers and Farmer Facing team
May monitor/manage reputational risk for established suppliers for an specific region.
Enters routine data and run specialty reports from Cargill contract management databases and systems.

Under general supervision, works with the accounting and finance departments to determine monthly contract and inventory valuations in reference to the short term strategy.

In accordance with the established game plan, participates in the commercial planning process including sales forecast.
Reports on sustainability goals for progress reports and ESG reports.
Supports the identification of trends and projection of future outcomes regarding supply and demand factors.
Responsible for setting the regional goals supported by the Sales and Sustainability Leads;
Applies a full understanding of merchandising practices and procedures to execute the short term strategy for Sustainability in an specific market;
Connects the corporate sustainability goals with commercial goals (Scope 3 emission reduction, water,people and land use)
Provides some contribution on local/country teams to strategies/game plans by generating ideas and collaborating with commercial team members and Farmer Facing team;

Conduct marketing activities (product price promotion / bartering) and coordinates profitability for a product line, including maximizing revenue while reducing costs.

Responsible for cost estimating and tracking projects.
Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in agronomy, administration, economy and related areas;
Solid agronomy and/or sustainability related industry experience;
Demonstrated experience in setting a strategic vision for the business, providing operational and tactical direction;
Ability to work with internal and external customers;
Effective communicating skills with all levels inside and outside of Cargill;
Advanced English and Portuguese skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in related field;
Available for business trip up to 20%;
Managed product lines in sustainability and/or ag related industry;
Knowledge of certifications for agricultural products;
Knowledge of all functional areas of the business-finance, marketing, sales, operations, HR.
Experience with Agile Methodology, Design Thinking or other product design/project management tools.
Passionate about agriculture and sustainability.
Spanish Skills.
