Full Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations in LATAM and the US, including income tax, transactional tax, and other applicable taxes.
  • Provide tax expertise and support to various departments, including billing, sales, and procurement, advising on tax implications related to pricing, sales territories, and vendor selection.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement tax strategies that optimize tax efficiency and minimize liabilities.
  • Conduct tax research and stay updated on LATAM and US tax laws, regulations, and emerging trends to provide recommendations and ensure compliance.
  • Support the preparation and review tax calculations, returns, and supporting schedules for LATAM and US entities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Support tax audits, inquiries, and correspondence in LATAM and the US, working closely with external advisors and tax authorities.
  • Review and enhance internal tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Monitor tax risks, exposures, and opportunities in LATAM and the US, providing proactive recommendations to mitigate risks and maximize benefits.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to analyze the tax implications of business transactions, acquisitions, and investments in LATAM and the US.
  • Assist in the financial planning and budgeting processes by providing tax forecasts, estimates, and projections for LATAM and US operations.
  • Liaise with external tax advisors and consultants to obtain expert advice on complex tax matters related to LATAM and US taxation.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of LATAM and US tax regulations and compliance requirements, including income tax, transactional tax, and other applicable taxes.
  • Backgroung in the Teleco / technology industry.
  • Familiarity with tax software and financial systems. Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts to nontax professionals.
  • Detailoriented with a commitment to accuracy and highquality work.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and stay updated on taxrelated trends and developments in LATAM and the US.
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Professional Working Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
