Purpose of the job:


Main responsibility areas:


Customer Engagement:


  • Support the business development process by connecting customer product needs with Ahlstrom products and capabilities.
  • Understand customer manufacturing processes and opportunities to develop strong Ahlstrom product performance.
  • Serve as the main technical contact for all customers' requests since new products development to quality claims.
  • Ensure successful introduction of Ahlstrom products through customer trials
  • Approve trial requests and ensure followup on trials with Sales (CustomerConnect/CRM)
  • Development of minor adjustments to existing products to meet customer development needs

Internal Collaboration

  • Provide critical product requirement information to new product development (NPD) teams for product innovation
  • Represent customer's technical requirements to operations teams
  • Collaborate with NPD team on existing customer driven innovation needs on new products requiring NPD resources.

Technical Support and Training:


  • Provide technical training for Sales (In coordination with Product Management).
  • Act as the main point for grade recommendations for Sales and Business Development.
  • Provide support in development and updating of technical documentation (e.g., technical data sheets, PDS/PTDs, Showpad files, internal and external) in coordination with product management.

Experience and education:


  • Bachelor in sciences or similar, and relevant job experience in Technical, Operations, or R&D roles
  • Strong process and troubleshooting experience and knowledge
  • Experience in leading projects and project teams, with solid project management practices
  • Ability to transfer knowledge and train cross functional team members
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strategic thinking as well as the ability to solve problems and to structure and simplify complex processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
