Job Description:


Business Segment Partnership- Actively participates and supports Risk Reviews and Application Reviews (as needed) and implements Product Stewardship Standards to comply with Responsible Care requirements.- Performs forward-looking regulatory and compliance activities and training.

Participates as a member of applicable New Product Introduction Teams, and extended business teams.- Supports the team in developing & communicating strategic approaches to new product development and registrations.- Conducts product registrations as required.

Monitor renewal periods and ensure annual fees are paid.


Regulatory Expertise & Compliance- Monitors and communicates current and potential legislative changes and implications and initiates necessary actions related to changing chemical regulations in various world regions, (including Hazard Communication legislation and regulation).- Actively involved in implementing solutions to address these changes as well as participating and contributing to advocacy efforts where appropriate.

Interface with relevant authorities, industry associations, and institutes on regulatory matters.- Ensures applicable regional regulatory changes are communicated to the global Product Stewardship team, businesses, and other stakeholders as appropriate.- Provides strategic guidance on compliance and future growth plans to businesses based on the regulatory landscape.- Ensure that effective compliance policies and procedures are developed and maintained.


Product Stewardship Customer Inquiry Management- Responds to routine customer inquiries on topics like Substances of Concern, restricted/banned substances list, etc.

that are specific to the LAM zone.- Project Support- Lead or participate in projects assigned to meet business needs, as applicable.


Site Support- Review and participate in Site Management of Change (MOC) activities for Product Safety.- Provide support for Logistics, order blocks, permits, Substance Volume Tracking, and GHS labels as required.

Professional Development - Ownership for creating a development plan for self, and tracking progress for timely completion.- Develop Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on focused topics


Additional Details:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a sciencerelated field, such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Engineering, or others related.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with Regulatory Affairs and/or Product Stewardship.
  • Good chemistry skills related to product chemistry.
  • Ability to create and enrich the position according to the needs of the team and the company, as well as a willingness to constantly improve knowledge and skills in an interdisciplinary field.
  • Flexibility to focus on chemistryrelated topics as well as customer support and fulfilling legal requirements at the same time.
  • Knowledge of chemical substance/product regulations, across Latin American countries.
  • Demonstrated leader, creative problem solver, and able to learn relevant skills quickly.
  • Facilitate the involvement and participation of multiple roles in problemsolving and solutions development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (multifunctional, global, all organization levels) and highly focused on the customer.
  • Proven organizational and project management skills. Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent English, Spanish, and Portuguese verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Computer literate in standard office systems.
  • Available for early morning or late evening global calls as needed.
  • Able to travel, including internationally, occasionally as needed
  • Able to work in a chemical plant environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a scientific field: chemistry, biochemistry, biology, engineering, or related field.
  • SAP EHS experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Silicone industry.
  • Continuous improvement/Project Management skills and formal training. Familiarity with Toxicology studies is desired
